Good Afternoon fellow readers! I hope everyone is having an amazing day! Today has been a long day added to a long week so far. I’ve been a little under the weather but trying my best to not let it drag me down too much and getting rest when I can. For today I wanted to touch base some more on what you have to do and why you have to do, and more importantly who says you hav to.
I’ve been seeing a lot of posts lately about the specific topic of should I do this because my “Doctor” told me to. Now, before I go any further I am not a doctor, or a psychologist and I have no medical training. The words here after I am about to speak are of my opinion only.
Just because your “Doctor” tells you something does not mean it is correct nor does it mean you have to do it! I am fortunate that I have a doctor that I can be very open with and is very open to a lot of modern ideas. She would rather talk through it than just bark orders at me. She focuses more on how I am feeling and how I am handling the current situation in my life. She listens to me and I give her the same respect. The difference is if I don’t agree I speak my mind to her, or if I’m not sure I ask her to point me in the direction of the facts of why I should do it.
A little fact that has been brought to my attention the last few months that a lot of medical studies are very biased, or don’t have enough proof to back up their theories. Sadly a lot of those that are inconclusive are surrounded by diet and it’s impacts on various health conditions. So you have to take the time to educate yourself as much as possible and do something you feel is what is right for you. You have to be okay with and want it not the person telling you to do it.
There are certain medications that there is no way in hell I would ever touch, and if my doctor can’t understand that then I would have to find a new doctor. I refuse to be a test subject for them to continually throw new big pharma drugs at. I do have meds I will always have to have, but I know the risks associated with them and know I have done everything to medically limit needing them. With all the relief Keto has brought to my life being almost medication free is amazing to me!
This same rule just doesn’t go for your doctor, it should go for anyone in your life. You have to do what is best for you no one else. No one else knows how you really feel or what you are going through. No one else has to live with your choices other than you. Live thee life you want to live for yourself and enjoy it to the fullest. If you want to do keto and you want help hit me up and I’ll help you all I can. Am I going to tell you you can’t do this or that…nope…that is your choice. I’m also not going to shove my lifestyle down your throat if you don’t agree with it. I’m here to inform and teach and share how wonderful it has been for me. I am not here to get you to join a cult.
